Jussi Parikka is professor in technological culture and aesthetics at Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton and docent in digital culture theory at University of Turku. He is author of What Is Media Archaeology?; Insect Media: An Archaeology of Animals and Technology (Minnesota, 2010); and Digital Contagions: A Media Archaeology of Computer Viruses.
