Wicked Systems and the Friction between “Old Theory and New Data” in Biology, Social Science, and Archaeology
Full description
An analysis of similarities in interactions between “old theory” and “new data” in evolutionary biology, social science and archaeology that shows how features of ecological and societal systems are congruent but methodologically challenging. A meta-representation interrelates different systems and problems with approaches for understanding these systems to formulate strategies to successfully construct new theories.
