Cover of Science and Invention 15, no. 2 (June 1927)

Full description
In red type the masthead features above a full-bleed water-color image depicting a human shape filed with various animal parts: the head has feathers for hair and a beak for a nose. One arm is that of a lobster, while in the other swims a small school of fish. The intestines are honeycombed with bees flying about. One left is a combination of a human tibia topped by a pulley for a knee and a fish skeleton for a femur. The other leg is supported by a chicken leg to the knee, above which there is brown rock for a femur and white feathers at the hip. The caption is only one character: a punctuation mark.
