Cover of Science and Invention 13, no. 3 (July 1925)

Full description
In blue type the masthead features above a full-bleed image depicting a man wearing a blue suit seated at a desk, writing. Before him he has a green blotter and some reservoirs of ink. At his left is a candlestick phone and daily planner. On his right is a red oxygen canister. It is connected by a tube to a brown helmet that completely envelopes his head. Save for an exhaust grate for him to breath out, there are only two openings, one for each eye to allow the person wearing the mask to focus on the task before them. On the wall a fan whirs fresh, cool air toward the man. The caption reads, “The Isolator.”
