Cover of The Electrical Experimenter 5, no. 2 (June 1917)

Full description
In red type, the masthead features above a water-color image of a wheat-colored field contrasting against a vividly red sky that is punctuated by bomb blasts. In the foreground there are troops in brown uniforms suggestive of World War I, complete with gas masks and wide brim hats. They are outfitted with wands shooting beams of electricity against adversaries in gray wearing Pickelhaube helmets. The caption reads, “Electrocuting the Enemy.”
