Grant Farred is professor of Africana studies and English at Cornell University and the author of Only a Black Athlete Can Save Us Now (Minnesota, 2022); An Essay for Ezra: Racial Terror in America (Minnesota, 2021); Martin Heidegger Saved My Life (Minnesota, 2015), In Motion, at Rest: The Event of the Athletic Body (Minnesota, 2014), What’s My Name?
